“I believe people want to have a Real conversation about their lives. Most of Us are in need of direction and advice, and searching for meaning, purpose and support. I know this is true for me, and the therapists I have worked with throughout my life. Most therapists working with Teens (and Adults) often take a passive role in their counseling approach. Statements like “How does that make you feel”, “What do you think about that?” and “Uh huh…” often make sense, but they fall short of what most of us are looking for in a therapy relationship.”
